Hot Spring Trekking (9)Days

The trekking in north Sikkim holds lots of restrictions due to the rich concentration of Herbs and medicinal valued plants. Most of the Northern Sikkim portions fall under RAP or PAP and National parks. But this particular trekking route is one of the most tempting. The highest point one climbs is Lhaba-Pass (4300m). The best part is one can start the trekking  from either side. It can start from Tarum Chachu (hot spring) and end at Youmthang in Lachung, or Start from Youmthang Lachung and then finish at Tarum chachu in Lachen side.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and drive to Gangtok.
Day 03: Gangtok - Lachung (2400m)
Today after having motored through beautiful lush green forest and several waterfalls, you are at Lachung. Check in a village lodge.
Day 04: Lachung - Youmthang (3600m)
A drive through rhododendron valley for about two hours and reached Youmthang. Today acclimatize day and evening take a dip into hot-spring. Camp out or old bungalow.
Day 05: Trek from Youmthang to Tsethang (3800m)
Today start the trek, this steep ascend for about 2-3hours will bring you above the cloud where you will enjoy the view of Langkyong khang and Dongkhya-ri. Camp out and stroll around.
Day 06: Trek from Tsethang to Cave Camp (3000m)
Today trek across Lhaba Pass, which is about (4300m) and enjoy the view Brum Khangsey, and descend down the rhododendron valley to camp out in a cave. This valley is a paradise for nature lovers and you might come across musk deer if you are lucky enough. Evening Camp out.
Day 07: Trek from Cave Camp to Tarum Hotspring (2600m)
This stretch of trek through Gaint forest of silver fir and bamboo bush will bring you to Natural shower point. Tarum hot spring, enjoy the nature. Camp out.
Day 08: Tarum - Roadside - Gangtok
Today walk to roadside is only about 2-3hours where your car is waiting and drive to Gangtok.
Day 09: Drive from Gangtok to Bhadrapur and flight from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu

Gochela Pass Trekking (17) Days

Gochela Pass Trekking in  sikkhm The Kanchendzonga National Park (KNP) is situated in the North District of Sikkim, with total area of 850 sq. kms. covering the highest elevation range (1829 to 8585 metres) in the country. The area of the park of spectacular wilderness with one of the highest mountain peaks towering above virtually undisturbed forest cover. There are many glaciers in the park area. amongst them the Zemu Glacier is the longest and most awesome. The lofty Mt. Kanchendzonga (8585 m) which literally means 'Abode of Gods consisting of five Treasure Houses' including the five peaks are Narshing, Pandim, Simvo, Kabru and Siniolchu. The most beautiful amongst these peaks are Mt. Pandim , Mt. Narshing and Mt. Siniolchu which lie in the park area. Among the avifauna of the state which consists of almost 550 species of birds many are to be found in abundance in the KNP like Blood Pheasants, Satyr Tragopan, Osprey, Himalayan griffon, Lammergeier, snow pigeon, Impeyan phesants, sunbirds & eagles.The variation of altitude and vegetation have enriched the park area with rich variety of flora. The temperate broad leaved forest are dominated by Qurcus spp, Schima Spp, Castanopsis Spp, Acer Spp, Birch Betula Spp, Himalayan Larch, Lari griffithi etc. In the Alpine scrub and grass the common scrubs found are Mecohopsis, Primula Rhododendron, etc. besides these there are many medicinal plants.among the fauna to be found in the park area is the famous Snow Leopard (Panthera Uncia) which holds the apex position. The other best known animals are Clouded Leopard, himalayan black bear, Red panda, Blue Sheep , Musk deer, Himalayan thar, Lesser Cats, Tibetan wolf, Serow, Great Tibetan sheep. The trekking spot that falls under the KNP are Dzongri-Thangshing-Gochala-Chaurigang (Khanchendzonga Base Camp), Green Lake-Jakthang-Yabuk etc. Adarsh Tours and Travels organises trekking and mountaineering expedition to the various circuts in the fascinating park which is one of the highest and exotic in the Himalayas .

Day 01 : Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and drive to Gangtok.
Day 02: A leisure day in Gangtok
visiting places of tourist interest including Tashi view Point, Ganash Tok, Hanuman Tok and famous Enchey Monastery back to hotel after breakfast other Point visit Tibetology, Institute of Cottage Industry , Dro-Drul Chorten, Rope way and Flower snow world famous Rumtek Monastery. Return Back to hotel. Evening walk at the Mall or shopping/leisure. Stay O/N.
Day 03: This is a day excursion to Tshangu Lake (departure in the morning)- situated at a height of 3780m with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Return Back to Gangtok. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Yuksam(1780 m) from Gangtok. Arrive Yuksom In the evening take a walk to the Yoksom Coronation site, - a simple stone bench, where the three monks appointed the first king of Sikkim . Visit the nearby Ani Gompa {Buddhist nunnery). Overnight at Yoksom.
Day 05: Trek from Yuksam to Tshoka, 3050 m. The very first day of the trek is the toughest. Starting at an altitude of 1780 meters, we have to climb up to 3050 m.  No landmarks are visible, and it is easy to loose orientation. A steady walk with plenty of halts enables the enjoyment of the fantastic range of flora. After crossing the green Praig Chuu River at Bakhim, we climb steeply to reach the last village on this route, called Tshoka, (the clearing in the forest). Overnight in Guest House or in camp.
Day 06: Trek from Tshokha to Dzongri meadows( 4320m)
A steep climb through rhododendrons, with some views of the snow peaks brings us to Dzongri at 4300m. It is a lovely undulating plateau, used as a yak pasture, extending nearly to the Kabru and Pandim glaciers on either side. The first view as you step on to the meadows is indeed breathtaking, as you suddenly come face to face with the great peaks. Overnight in camp.
Day 07: Trek from Dzongri to Thansing (3920m)
Rise early, to walk up to the top of Dabla Khang, a mountain-top from where the Sikkimese worship Mount Khangchendzonga . After the short walk, the sunrise view of Khangchendzonga, Kabru, and Siniolchu, is spectacular. After breakfast in camp, trek to Thansing 08 Kms in 04 hrs. A fairly easy trek, with good views. Initially traversing marshy ground with bush rhododendrons, for about 02 kms, the track descends very steeply into the Praig chuu valley. We pass through meadows of grazing yaks, wild flowers, and rhododendrons, with spectacular views of Mount Pandim . The river comes cascading down from the Snow Mountains . We climb out of the valley, to the trekkers hut at Thansing. 
Day 08: Trek from Thansing to Lampokhri (4230) Trek steadily uphill for 4 hrs to camp near Samthi Lake at (4500m). Overnight in camp.
Day 09: Trek from Simithi lake to Gochela (4995m) to Thangsing (3800m)
Today we have a long days trek. Starting just past midnight, we climb, along a gully on a trail of moraine and boulders, with spectacular views opening up. Following a short descent to the white sands of Zimethang we make the steep climb reaching the highest point of the trek, in time for the sunrise. From Gochela we see the Talung Glacier, Khangchendzonga East Face, Jannu, Simvo, Sinolchu, and many other peaks. Descending down we retrace our steps to spend the night at Thangsing in the Priag chhu valley. Overnight in camp.
Day 10: Trek from Thangsing  to Tsokha. Overnight in camp.

Day 11: Trek from Tsokha to Yuksam. Overnight in camp.
Day 12: Early morning drive to Pemayangtse visit Khechoperi Lake Drive to the holy Khechepheri Lake . Continue the journey for another 1.30 hrs to reach Pelling. O/N at Pelling.
Day 13: Today full day sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery, Changay Falls , Singsor Bridge & Dentam Village (includes Alpine Cheese Factory). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 14: Early morning drive from Pelling to Kalimpong  for 4 hrs. Check in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 15 : In Kalimpong
Early morning visit Dello hills, Dr.Graham's Home, Flower Nurseries, Nature Interpretation Center and Durbin Dara Hills & Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang and Durbin Monastery. After lunch Transfer to Darjeeling. Over Night at Hotel.
Day 16 : In Darjeeling
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu. Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 17 : Darjeeling- Bhadrapur Airport  Drive from to Bhadrapur Airport for onwards connection and flight back to Kathmandu. 

Singalila Trek (11)

The best time to trek in Sikkim is between March to mid May and mid September to late December. There will be some snow on the trek by early March and we need gaiters and good trekking boots and walking poles byte mid March, the conditions will be much ideal. We recommend you Gochala trek, which is for about 12 to 14 days combined with 9 days trek and rest as tour or transfer. The Yuksam-Gochala trek inside Indian Highest National Park is the most unspoint trek in the Himalayas and rated among the top ten treks of the Himalayas . These treks also offer you a closer view of the world's third highest mountain - Mt. Khanchendzonga with panoramic views of other mountains in the vicinity. You may chance upon the shy Musk Deer to wave out to the exotic Red Panda perched among the tree- tops. Revel in the excitement of being part of a unique culture, a rich tapestry woven with legends, myths, rituals and festivals. Day 01: Fly to Bhadrapur and drive to Darjeeling .
Arrival Airport and drive to Darjeeling ( 2134m). Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: In Darjeeling
In the morning, sunrise view from Tiger's Hill and in the afternoon, sightseeing of Ghoom Moanstery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Tibetan Self Help Center . Overnight in Hotel.
Day 03: Darjeeling to Tonglu.

Drive one and half hour to Manebhnajyang and further vertical climb brings you to Tonglu (2800m). Excellent view of Kanchenjunga.Overnight at trekker's lodge.
Day 04: Trek from Tonglu to Sandakphu.
Many ascents and descents characterize the trek to Sandakphu (3750m).Sandakphu perhaps offers the best simultaneous view of the Everest and the Kanchenjunga ranges.Overnight trekkers huts.
Day 05: Trek from Sandakphu to Phalut.
The trek to Phalut is comparatively easy going as one does not encounter many ascents and the trek is more or less flat on the walking along the Singelila ridge. Phalut is near the Tri-junction of Sikkim , Nepal and West Bengal. Overnight at trekkers lodge.
Day 06: Trek from Phalut to Rammam.
The trail plunges steeply into the Rammam valley till the village of Gorkhey after which it more or less flat land. Overnight in Trekkers Hut.
Day 07: Trek from Rammam to Rimbick.
The last day of your trek to Rimbick is more or less flat with some descents and meanders past meadows and small villages. Rimbick is a small village with little market. Tonight you will stay at a family home converted to lodge.
Day 08: Rimbick to Darjeeling .
Drive 3-4 hours to Darjeeling .Overnight in Hotel.
Day 09 : Darjeeling- Gangtok. Drive to Gangtok.Picnic.
Short walk the town. Over night at capital city Gangtok.
Day 10: Gangtok:
Early morning sunrise from Hanuman Top. Full day sight seeing including Rumtek Monastery. Evening drive to Tashi View Point for sunset view of the majestic Mt. Kanchanjunga and Mt. Siniolchu . A special Sikkim food festival.Over night at Gangtok.
Day 11: Gangtok
Departure to Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station Bhadrapur / Kathmandu
